TIMOTHE BURET (silver)

Timothé Buret was born in Montpellier on May 31, 1995. Since he was a little boy, he was mad about motorsport and spent all his free time doing motocross and riding quads. In 2010 he started kart racing and made quickly a name for himself. In 2013, he gained experience in sprint racing and in endurance with over 50 starts in Endurance Series, the VdeV single seater Challenge and Caterham R300. The following year he concentrated on racing CN 2.0 prototypes and finished runner-up in the European Championship.

In 2015, on David Zollinger’s advice, he moved to the United States to prove his skills and put on some great performances by joining the Juncos Racing team in Pro-Mazda, the programme on the road to the IndyCar Series. In his first rookie year, he proved being able to fight for the championship title right down to the last race. A brilliant performance with eight podium finishes and a victory on the legendary Indianapolis circuit, that led him to the fifth place overall.

In 2016, he joined Panis-Barthez Competition in LMP2 for the European Le Mans Series and the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, with his teammates Fabien Barthez and Paul-Loup Chatin. In their first participation ever on the Le Mans track, they brilliantly crossed the finish line in P8 in their category. At the end of the race, Timothé received the Prix Jean Rondeau rewarding the best French rising talent.

His progress throughout the season convinced the team to carry on with him in 2017 with Fabien Barthez and Nathanael Berthon.

In addition, he had a go in the Andros Electric Enedis Trophy, before moving into the ELMS 2018 season alongside Will Stevens and Julien Canal.

2019 sees him for the fourth season in a row within the team on the second Ligier JSP 217 # 24 engaged in ELMS with new teammates: the Russian Konstantin Tereschenko and the Dutchman Leonard Hoogenboom. With only one Panis-Barthez Competition car finally invited by the ACO, Timothé was reserve driver for the 2019 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He helped the team and remained once again the Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque ambassador.

Simultaneoulsy, he discovered the GT3 world and took part in the Total 24 Hours of Spa with Tech1 Racing alongside Fabien Barthez, Bernard Delhez and Eric Cayrolle. The Lexus RC F GT3 finished 6th in the AM category.

This season, he is involved in a triple racing programme: the GT World Challenge Europe in endurance with Tech1 Racing in GT3 with Aurelien Panis and Thomas Neubauer; the GT4 European Series with the CMR team; and also in ELMS for the 240 Castellet and the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Dragon Speed in the LMP2 category.
